November 24, 2015

We are taking yearbook orders this week. For the first time ever you can order your name on the book absolutely free if you bring your order form and the payment this week. We only have two days of school, so don't forget. After that, personalization is $5. The free offer is only good November 23, and 24, the name on the yearbook is only free if ordered at school, not online.

Students: if you have yearbook orders, bring those to lunch and someone will be there to collect them.

About Our School

Welcome to Rochester Middle School's website. RMS leads with innovation, inspired teaching, and creative learning. Our faculty and staff make collaboration and relationship building a top priority to ensure student growth.  We strive to create a 21st century learning environment that better prepares our students for their future.  RMS students have many opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities including: sports, clubs, academic competitions, and leadership roles. Rochester Middle School is a great place to learn, grow and give as our Mission states. I would like to extend a personal invitation to all parents and community members to visit our school and spend some time with us, give some feedback, and become an active part of what makes our school such an awesome place.

In student-centered, academically challenging environments that cultivate character, celebrate learning and foster collaboration, the staff, families and greater community of the Rochester Community Schools Corporation, as partners, will develop creative, lifelong learners with the skills and enthusiasm to be contributing members of society to shape a changing world.

iPads have been issued to every student at Rochester Middle School. Each grade level teacher has requested iPad applications that will assist in teaching 21st century skills and increase student achievement.  Many textbooks can be accessed on-line.  Parents can checkup on student assignments and grades by signing into “Harmony.”

21st Century Scholar Program

Eighth graders are reminded to apply for the 21st Century Scholar Program and, if eligible, be awarded a 21st Century Scholarship that covers your tuition to a state college for four years. Online application can be found at See Mr.Kreamer at the office for more information.

Incorrect Phone Number

In the Rochester phone book, for Rochester Community Schools, the Middle School Attendance Office phone number is listed as 223-1521. That is incorrect and no longer in service. Parents should call the school at 223-2280 and the phone will prompt you to push #8 for the attendance.
